Happy Halloween!

Just wanted to put out a big happy spook day to everyone!
Also it’s my 12th Anniversary with Kelly today! For the event I’ve posted a drawing I made of her the year before we got married which I made off a photograph of her on our very first Halloween together in 1992!

Busy times

Ya that’s it…gaming is a full time occupation and I only have part-time to do it! So Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has been out for a few weeks now and of course I was one to pick it up on that first week. I have to say is a very fun game but the story is what is really great about it, a real good filler that you can call Episode 3.5. There are two endings and both are spoilers so I won’t say them ;) There isn’t much in variety or sub-plots, it’s pretty much a straight forward “Mario follow the path until you get to the castle” game play with a little RPG variation thrown in for flavor. Passed the game twice in 2 weeks and am about halfway through a third time. It is still fun to force grip Storm Troopers and throw them into each other! The third try I’m going for all the Holocrons, but I think I missed a couple already…oops, how’d that happen?

In anticipation of Fallout 3 coming out at the end of this month I’ve been playing Oblivion on the PC a lot (ok bad excuse since I’ve been playing it for most of this year), more like modding and running through the sub-stories without even starting the main story. I found The Shivering Isles to be a lot more fun and interesting then the main Oblivion story and The Knights of the Nine was kind of blah also. Sheogorath is too funny; I love what Wes Johnson did with that character, brilliant! So I rushed through that story again but it’s still a good story. I need to go back and do the sub-stories but there are too many other good Oblivion mods that side track me. With the right mods playing a vampire for an extended time is actually fun. I’d suggest getting the GOTY on the PC because there is so much you can add to it and thanks to sites like TESNexus but if you want to keep some sort of life, get the XBOX 360 version. I love to tinker so the PC is the option I can’t turn down and there is so much you can tinker with in that game.

Sam and Max: Season One for the Wii will be here next week! I’m very excited about this one and can’t wait for my daughter to experience the excellent dark humor in those games. She will be able to appreciate it and not find it disturbing or nonsensical. I’ve trained her well in the dark arts of mischievous humor mwahaha!

And of course there’s been Puzzle Pirates where you can find me as Icaruslnx on Cobalt and various little games on Kongregate using the same name, I’m usually in the Seamonkeys chat room.
